Teacher Website


I struggled in researching a teacher page through a school page, but I found this website of this teacher page that is used as an example/template for other teachers. Information in the website includes a little of bit of the teacher, homework for each subject, students resources, rules, class photos and more. This creates a great resource for students to utilize, help hem stay organize, and up to date. I also really like that the teacher posts pictures of the class, which facilitates parent's access to those pictures. Overall, it is an organized website that has everything students and parents would need in one place. 

I visualize myself using technology to be more efficient in the classroom. Either creating a weekly website or email system that will maintain a steady communication line with parents. Depending on the resources, I also plan on using platforms that will involve students to collaborate like Kahoot or Google Docs. To improve my productivity as a teacher, when making slide shows I plan on using templates from Slidesgo.com. Additionally, I plan on using AI when wanting to enhance lessons or activities for students to be more engaged. These sources will aid me as a teacher and improve my productivity. 

My experience completing Assignment 2 was moderately simple because our group worked and communicated efficiently. It was very interesting to do it through Canvas, and I thought it was cool because it felt like a behind the scenes of what teachers do to plan their page. Because I was able to meet up with my group in class, we were able to distribute the work load evenly; however, if I would of done this group project online, I would of used the discussion page to reach out to my other group mates. So I believe using the canvas group was a great source to use for Assignment 2.

    Copyright is a way somebody can protect what they created or their intellectual property from being used or modified. Fair Use are different ways somebody can use and copy materials within reason, depending on how much is used and how its being used. Teachers are responsible to be a role model for students including utilizing technology correctly. Teachers can educate their students about the importance of protecting your intellectual property, also modeling the importance of developing your own instructional materials and not copyrighting.            With taking EME 2040 this semester, I hope to learn new technological skills that I can apply in future working experiences, specially learning how to do things in the windows. I am familiar with a lot of technological platforms like Powerpoint, Canva, IMovie and many more but all through the Mac. So I am curious to learn how to do shortcuts in the Windows, to familiarize myself with the Windows at the same level of how I use the Mac. Overall, I want to learn more tricks and shortcuts in the platforms that I am already familiar with, specially Excel.            With my prior experiences using technology in an educational setting, I am comfortable with using Google drive and OneDrive applications.
