Teacher Website I struggled in researching a teacher page through a school page, but I found this website of this teacher page that is used as an example/template for other teachers. Information in the website includes a little of bit of the teacher, homework for each subject, students resources, rules, class photos and more. This creates a great resource for students to utilize, help hem stay organize, and up to date. I also really like that the teacher posts pictures of the class, which facilitates parent's access to those pictures. Overall, it is an organized website that has everything students and parents would need in one place.  I visualize myself using technology to be more efficient in the classroom. Either creating a weekly website or email system that will maintain a steady communication line with parents. Depending on the resources, I also plan on using platforms that will involve students to collaborate like Kahoot or Google Docs. To improve my productivity as a teache...

So far this is my first semester blogging, but ironically I have two classes using it, and honestly I really like it. I think it is a very well organized and simple software to use, and it presents it very nicely with the overall website of the blog. I believe it creates a very simple process of drafting and posting on the website, plus it has a great perk of auto-saving your work. I also really like it because I hate to do discussion posts on canvas, and blogging elevates doing discussion posts. I can see myself using this in the future, and sharing this resource for my future students.            An interesting Web 2.0 I would use in teaching would be Google Docs. Besides it being free, Google Docs allows a platform to create, edit and collaborate on a single document. I could use Google Docs with having all students in one single document participating and collaborating together. Additionally, Google doc...

I remember I signed up for Instagram probably around 3rd or 4th grade because I had friends that had it so I convinced my mom to get my own account. At that time though, Instagram was very casual and you would post whatever, compared to a couple years later when I had more than 200+ followers I started caring more of what I posted. Though I have never been consistent with posting, I utilize Instagram to stay updated on people's lives and in a way networking with people. I think instagram is by far my favorite social media to connect with people I just met, specially that it allows you to see if you have the same followers. Being at FSU, has made me realize how interconnected everyone is and Instagram facilitates making this connection if we have the same followers (being able to figure out if you know the same people). I will continue to use Instagram in my future career to continue casually networking.          ...

Standards are educational goals or benchmarks that students should reach at a specific time or end of the school year. They provide a guide for teachers to create their curriculum for their students to meet these goals/benchmarks. A standard under Computer Science focusing on emerging technologies for grades 9-12, has 7 different benchmarks to have students accomplish to master the standard. For this standard SC.912.ET.1 "Analyze the impact of emerging technologies" helps student be aware of how to utilize new technology and how to use it wisely. Based on my current skill set, I would feel a bit prepared to implement this standard. However, I do agree I would need to do more research on how I can make the content relatable or applicable to teenagers. Specially, if I can make it relatable to them so they can be more interested in technology.            After browsing around at the resources and tools CPALMS provid...

Copyright is a way somebody can protect what they created or their intellectual property from being used or modified. Fair Use are different ways somebody can use and copy materials within reason, depending on how much is used and how its being used. Teachers are responsible to be a role model for students including utilizing technology correctly. Teachers can educate their students about the importance of protecting your intellectual property, also modeling the importance of developing your own instructional materials and not copyrighting. However, it does put into question how much copyright can dictate what can and cannot be used in the classroom?      Academic dishonesty is a rising issue with technology implementation in the classroom, specially how fast Artificial Intelligence (AI) has grown. With the rise of AI, it has also shown an increase in plagiarism for essays and exams. For asking students to simply just stop using AI is unrealistic because AI ...
